Silvretta Classic 2006

To the top - Bosch Automotive Tradition at the Silvretta Classic.

Among the classic car rallies that take place year in, year out, the Silvretta Classic enjoys a very special reputation. From June 29 to July 2, the "conquerors of the peak" met for the 9th time before the dream backdrop of the Montafon. In three one-day stages with beautiful bends and up to 13% inclines, approximately 500 km had to be covered. With 17 assessments, 19 time checks and six drive-through checkpoints, the event organizers created a genuine sporting challenge for the participants. Historical automobiles up to model year 1971 were allowed to start. Also special starting spots for selected classic cars up to model year 1988 took part.

Bosch Automotive Tradition started in ambitious fashion with the in 1959 popular Borgward Isabella. Up hill and down vale, the route was pretty strenuous for the keen Bosch team as well as for the radiators and brakes of the classic car. Here, however, Bosch was also very well equipped. Accompanied by the Bosch racing bus, the Bosch engineers were able to provide skilled assistance not only for the rally team of their own company. A great member of other participants also gratefully accepted the service on offer.
