Bosch Automotive Tradition at Retro Classics
From March 9 to 11, 2007 the Bosch Classic division hosted for the first time its own stand at the Retro Classics motor show
in Stuttgart. Some 40,000 vintage and classic car fans attended the event.
The featured highlight on the Bosch stand was K-Jetronic, the gasoline fuel injection system
from the 1970s and 80s. Illustrative exhibits, information boards and hourly demonstrations using
an actual car featuring K-Jetronic in a garage fitted out in keeping with the time provided an informative
and entertaining presentation of the technology involved. In Germany alone, there are still some 1.4 million vehicles
on the roads fitted with this fuel injection system.
The two expert stand partners, Küppers and
Koller + Schwemmer, were on hand to answer specific practical questions from visitors.
Demonstrations on test rigs additionally showcased the know-how of the two Bosch Classic specialists.
The Bosch Automotive Tradition team provided advice and assistance including an online search facility for original spares and
components. The search was optimized, not least, by the latest expansion of the AA/ATR document archive to include a further
6000 product information articles.
The commitment of Bosch to maintaining vintage and classic cars was warmly welcomed by the show's organizers and enthusiasts alike.
