World Cup procession in Ludwigsburg

Classic car procession and concert of horns for the World Cup 2006

With more than 120 mobile historical jewels, the World Cup procession set off on June 11, 2006, with the motto "Hooray, we're driving to the World Cup" from Ludwigsburg to the Stuttgart State Parliament. A great many celebrities from politics, business and entertainment took their seats as drivers and passengers in the classic cars.

Bosch Automotive Tradition presented itself in self-confident style with the Bosch Goliath delivery truck and, with no more than 19 bhp, managed to keep up with the other classics in the procession. The Borgward Isabella, driven by Mr. Chur, also generated enthusiasm and a great deal of applause.

With magnificent summer weather, a number of the classic cars made a stopover at the Mercedes-Benz World in Bad Cannstatt. In the Remseck area of Aldingen, sparkling wines and snacks were offered to the drivers and passangers. A great number of spectators lined the road and formed a guard of honor for the smart classic and vintage cars, some of which had been on the road for more than 75 years.

It was a successful event where Bosch was once again able to demonstrate its tireless commitment to the topic of historical vehicles.
